Find Inner Peace through Experienced Counseling

Counseling That Meets You Where You Are

There are many reasons people come to counseling.

Sometimes something has happened. Sometimes a relationship is struggling. Sometimes anxiety, grief, trauma, stress, or old patterns are making everyday life harder than it needs to be.

And sometimes there isn’t one obvious problem at all. You simply know that something doesn’t feel quite right anymore.

At Inner Solace Counseling, we offer individual, couples, family, trauma-focused, and telehealth counseling designed around the person or people sitting in the room, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

You don’t need to know exactly what you need before you reach out.

What Brings You Here?

You may be looking for support because you’re…

  • feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, or emotionally exhausted
  • working through trauma or experiences from the past
  • grieving a person, relationship, role, or season of life
  • navigating a major life transition
  • struggling with boundaries, self-esteem, or people-pleasing
  • feeling disconnected or stuck in your relationship
  • experiencing conflict within your family
  • carrying caregiver stress or feeling responsible for everyone else
  • trying to understand patterns that keep repeating
  • functioning on the outside while feeling very different underneath

Or maybe you can’t quite name it yet.

That’s okay too.

Counseling doesn’t require you to arrive with a diagnosis, a perfectly defined problem, or the right words. Part of the work can be understanding what’s happening in the first place.

Personal Therapy

A space that’s yours.

Individual counseling gives you a place to slow things down and pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface.

You may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, caregiving, self-esteem, boundaries, or a major life transition. Or perhaps you’ve noticed patterns in your thoughts, relationships, or reactions that you’d simply like to understand better.

Therapy can help you explore what’s contributing to the way you’re feeling while developing practical ways to cope, communicate, make decisions, and respond differently when old patterns show up.

Your counselor will work collaboratively with you, tailoring therapy to your needs, goals, personality, and pace.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Family Counseling

Families are systems, and when one part changes, everyone can feel it.

Family counseling can provide space to work through communication difficulties, conflict, changing roles, parenting concerns, boundaries, transitions, grief, and other challenges affecting the family as a whole.

Rather than focusing on one person as “the problem,” family counseling looks at patterns of interaction and helps family members better understand one another, communicate more effectively, and develop healthier ways of navigating difficult moments.

Every family looks different.

The goal isn’t to create a perfect family. It’s to help yours function in a healthier way.

Telehealth Counseling
Therapy from a space that works for you.

For some people, getting to an office adds one more complication to an already full day.

Secure telehealth sessions allow eligible clients to meet with their counselor from home or another private location, making therapy more accessible when work schedules, transportation, caregiving responsibilities, health concerns, or distance make in-person appointments difficult.

Telehealth can be used for many of the same concerns addressed during in-person counseling.

A note about location

Because counseling licenses are regulated by state, telehealth services through Inner Solace are available only when the client is physically located in Kentucky at the time of the session.

Not sure whether telehealth is right for you? We’re happy to help you explore your options.

Couples and relationship counseling

When the same conversations keep leading to the same places.

Relationships can become strained for all kinds of reasons: communication difficulties, disconnection, trust concerns, intimacy, parenting stress, life transitions, past hurts, changing roles, or simply years of unresolved patterns.

Couples counseling offers a supported space to slow those patterns down and understand what’s happening between you.

Our therapists can help couples work toward healthier communication, greater understanding, clearer boundaries, more productive conflict, and decisions about what they want their relationship to look like moving forward.

Counseling isn’t about deciding who is right.

It’s about understanding what’s happening between you and finding a healthier way through it.

Trauma-Informed Counseling & EMDR

Sometimes the past doesn’t stay neatly in the past.

Trauma can affect the way you feel, respond, connect, trust, and experience safety long after an event or relationship has ended.

Trauma-informed counseling creates space to understand those responses without reducing you to what happened to you. Depending on your needs and counselor, therapy may include approaches that support emotional regulation, increase a sense of safety, explore patterns connected to past experiences, and help you process what continues to feel unresolved.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a structured therapeutic approach that can help people process distressing experiences and memories that continue to affect them in the present.

Inner Solace has clinicians trained in EMDR who work with clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and related concerns.

Finding the Right Fit Matters

Different people need different things from therapy.

Some people want a counselor who is warm and conversational. Others appreciate structure, practical tools, or someone who will gently challenge them. Some are looking for specific experience with trauma, relationships, anxiety, grief, or another concern.

Our clinicians bring different personalities, areas of experience, and therapeutic approaches to their work.

You don’t have to choose perfectly.

If you’re unsure who might be the best fit, contact us and tell us a little about what you’re looking for. We can help you explore your options.
